Quizzes: Quizzes are “open notes” but may be timed, so thoroughly review the material before beginning a quiz so that you do not get slowed down having to search for an answer. The goal is to learn the material, not to stress you out over a quiz. Writing assignments: Writing assignments are primarily for content and to assure that you are exposed to the type of writing you may be asked to do in a plant. Still, try to use good form, proper grammar, and check your spelling. Points may be deducted for poor writing. Also, please be careful to include everything asked for in the assignment, or points will be deducted. An opportunity will be given to make up ½ of any deducted points by re-writing and making corrections. Final exam: The final exam is comprehensive and may include anything in the posted course materials, any handouts you are given, or any documents you were asked to download. |
